The cost depends on when and where you are flying. Safety records are not very different between the major airlines. Try expedia.com for a good comparison of rates.

I used to always look for the cheapest airline when flying from Florida, but now I have become a loyal customer of United Airlines. The reason is this: all the other airlines have attendants who yell and scream at me and hustle us around like cattle. They give no snack, and they seem offended when distributing drinks (although some airlines are not even providing a beverage any longer). Additionally, my flights have never been delayed by United Airlines, but I have had delays on ever other airline I have used. Thirdly, United commonly runs engaging television programs during even their shorter flights. My advice is this: pay a little more if you must to fly United. You will be delayed, be barked at, and feel like you're a piece of baggage rather than a person if you fly with the others.

I just did a random search for you because I did not know the city that you are leaving from in Illinois and arriving to in Florida but I found airline tickets round trip starting at $181.00. Please visit http://www.ytbtravel.com/godsgirl2travel and put in your travel itinerary. You will be given several choices to pick from. Enjoy your trip..you will have a great time

If you can get a flight on Frontier or Midwest, they are fantastic. On Frontier, you get to watch satellite TV for only $5.00! On Midwest, they have big seats and serve warm cookies that they bake in flight! Both have great safety records. Enjoy!

There are a couple of websites that can answer that. Use a search engine. They take turns being the cheapest, and no one can answer that at this time.

This isn't exactly "cheap" but it's an excellent flight. I have never had a bad expierence. I'd try Midwest Express. You get fresh cookies too!

you can use a search service like Travelocity or Expedia.com
I think your best bet is to go directly through an airline's website.
