Lately I have been experiencing some abnormal discharge and a few other symptoms. I looked them up on the internet and they are some of the symptoms of cervical cancer. I am going to call my CNM tomorrow, but was curious about some of the things that the web-sites had mentioned.
Is it true that the only way to get rid of it is to have a complete historectomy? I am only 29 and my husband & I still plan on having 2 more children... This is very scary to me. Does anyone have any experience w/ this?

You are doing the right thing by seeing your doctor - immediately!

A complete historectomy is not the only course of action. However, and I caution, that all depends on the stages of the cancer. If it is caught early enough you can have Cryosurgery (not sure of spelling). But pronounced (Cry-O-Surgery). Ask the doctor about that for the details - not the place to go into detail here.

Good Luck to you - I will hold the good thoughts.

If you have pre-cervical cancer they can freeze the cervix. I had that done when I was 19years old. Since then I never had any problems. I now have 4 kids!!
