The year 2000 occured because the earth orbited the sun two thousand times in our common era. So yes, it was a conspiracy between the earth and sun that the year 2000 occur.

If you mean the bug, no it wasn't a conspiracy, it was just a glitch that needed to be closely monitered. It was a rip off though. Nothing even happened.

What is there to conspire? I know people that had to fix y2k bugs in computers. The problem was real. It was fixed. I don't know what anyone would have to gain from conspiring to do...whatever it is you're thinking they might have conspired to do.

No. after the initial scare, people went to work on their computer systems. And then things just went a lot better than people expected.
