Does it really matter?
It is either a chemical reaction from a dying brain or the soul really does leave the body and somehow get called back, but either way it is a very real experience to the person.
Reality is really just perception anyway.

like, what kind of out of body experience? psychologically, there is a disorder called depersonalization where the person experiences constant feelings of being out of body or looking at themselves from a different vantage point, so yes, it does exist. if you're expecting an answer dealing with the paranormal, well...i can't help you there.

technological information fiction is a reading style and therefor i do no longer belive you could go away you body to it. you could in spite of the fact which have your body be donated to medical analyze. i'd in my view have my organs donated to those who pick them, yet i imagine that both are noble activities.
