In grade schools black girls only wanted the players and thugs and the same in college. Well now that all my hard work has paid off and I have the nice clothes and fancy car and a hot girl I happened to meet on the job who happens to be of another race, I get dirty looks from black women who would have completely ignored me as a poor student. Whats the deal with that?

Unfortunately, in all areas of society, racism looms. It's not talked about as often, because sexual and religious discrimination shares the floor with it, too. If people spent more time taking a good, hard look at their own lives and less time interfering with other people's happiness, the world would be a better place.

I think that you may be going through the same thing that my husband and I are going through. They are just not used to seeing it, and are resentful of the fact that you may marry and have children with this "other" race, as if we are martians or something. Ignore them. They are all nuts. If you and this girl are making each other happy, and believe that you may be soul mates, go for it. We did, and have not been sorry. We have been married for 2 months. We are ideal together. Our problem is dealing with the damn racists on both sides. I am afraid that I (white girl) am going to lose my cool altogether and say some things they are not soon to forget. My husband(black boy) is much too mellow and laid back to ever consider changing their twisted views at this late date. I wish I was more like him. However, opposites are so really good for each other, and yet we persist, and notice more and more the evils of racism. God will deal with them and we will be laughing our beautiful asses off.
Hang in there, and do not be INTIMIDATED by these brainless wonders. Feel free to write us. We wish you all the best, and have been there. My husband has done very well in life. We plan on having no children. Genetic testing is not favorable. Besides, we don't want to burden the kid because people are stupid.

I don't care who you date! Just don't classify us sistas as thug chasing low life having women based on your few experiences. You can have all the women of different the races that you want but don't forget where you came from!
I don't speak this out of being racist or hateful! So for those reading don't get confused!
I'm sooo tired of hearing black men saying we cut our eyes at you because you decided to date another race. when the truth is you couldn't handle or rule over a black woman the way you wanted to so you moved on to something more submissive.
What's funny and I speak this from my interracial serious relationship experience. When you strip away the fancy job the nice car and the hot women.Who is gonna catch you when you fall?? I tell you what you can sit there and fool yourself. I'll let you fill in the blanks.
Try to love all people as best as you can but never forget the black woman that brought you into this world. Don't forget that because you had a bad experience with someone, it doesn't matter if they are red or purple, you can't classify a race and gender of people for your insecurities and short comings!

I have read all of the comments that have been stated on the page, and I will respond to several. I realize that you have been wronged in the past by black women, but all black women are not the same. I have always wanted to date successful guys. Never have I, nor do I intend to date a guy, based solely upon his pay rate. I do not need a man to support me, due to the fact that I am a successful black woman on my own; however, I do expect my mate to have goals in life and strive to be a godly man. That should be something you consider for your mate as well. I did not appreciate the fact that someone would have the nerve to post that ALL black women are loud, obnoxious, abusive to their children, and do not speak correct English. No matter where I am, I speak correct English, and I am neither loud nor obnoxious. I see this as a prejudice because the statement was made according to stereotypical information. As far as white women dating black men, I of all people could not talk very much--looking into my family tree. Nevertheless, I do believe that often times we are overlooked, not because of our inadequacies, but due to the fact that many black women are just that-- BLACK. Nonetheless, I don't have a problem with people dating out of their races, but don't look at me and roll your eyes white women. On numerous occassions I have seen white women with black men, and I have had them literally stare me down to see if I was looking at their men. Now, if you are going to date a white woman, or white women if you are going to date a black man, please be confident that not every black woman wants your man!!!! All in all, I have worked too hard in my life and I have come too far to allow society to define who I am because of the color of my skin. Say what you want about black women, but please do respect those of us who work hard to get where we are, and are not drama queens, golddiggers, and abusive!

I am a white guy but I know exactly what you mean cause your dilemma has nothing to do with what color you are. Chicks are especially shallow creatures and mostly only go for the guys they think will make them stand out - like the thugs and players at school - but once they grow up, it's the nerdy guy who looks like he might actually make a little cash in his life (and thus make them stand out) that becomes important - sad but true - and the dark looks you get because you fancy a white chick is just black chick jealousy turning nasty - just because you fancy a slice of white cake does not mean that you don't also fancy chocolate, it's just that one can only eat one slice at a time - but chicks never read it that way

stop feeding into society status garbage. I'm a mixed woman and beleive me regardless of your nice things women may not be giving you dirty looks because your with someone of another race. Most black women really don't want anything to do with a black man who dates outside his race, they feel like oh well thats what he likes, now moving on. i can see the hostility though considering 48 percent of black men make up the inmate numbers, and 12 percent are gay, its hard finding a good black man, so some women made feel angry when they see a good one get a way, especially by someone not of their race.

You know what, I am the same way. I focus in school, respect woman, have a co-op with General Motors. But I still can't find a black girl that is interested in me. Black girls just love drama so much, that they will miss out of a good man.

i am not black, but it sounds like the women that you were dealing with in college wanted the thugs..you were to smart but now that you have $$ they can see that..its just selfish pppwomen that your dealing with.

I have dated black men ,yes that have a very comfortable lifestyle.and that was one of the honest complaints i have heard from them is that they have dated black women, but these same type of women who wouldnt date him befrore..would now date him, because of the $$.

I have also, having dated sucsessful black men have black women look hateful at me, and even say to me that thats why black women dont have good men...because of us white women.

I have had white men look at me in hate when they see me with a black man.

sooo...I think you should look for the qualities that are right for you,and dont let race get in the way.

Im not sure if you are a christian, but most of my advice to you would be based on christianity..i didnt want to offend you in any way so..with that ill just say..find someone who you like , but try not to let the racial ignorence of the world get in your way..or influence what you feel is best for you.

As a white woman with a black husband, it doesn't matter what your earnings/education are, they're still going to look at you like you betrayed them. Just ignore it. Your heart/and gut will tell you when someone is right for you. I would let them be, and just move on with your life with somene who loves you. But ask yourself....would the white woman be with you even if you had nothing? Good luck and God Bless.

Well, not necessarily all successful black men are dating black women, for example, Kobe Bryant is married to a hispanic lady.
and don't pay attention to those other girls who are just starring you down, that should be the least of your problems, your girl is your girl and do not let any one put you down for that

You are a True playa in my eyes if you got all these type of women looking at you.
Honestly, the reason why those girls keep looking at you is because they wish they were all Yours
