I would define a soulmate as a mate you find once you have crossed over into a soul, in heaven. According to my pc bible study the term " soulmate" doesn't exist in the bible. Hope it helps.

To me soulmate is that one person who knows everything about you and does it all to make sure that you are alright. This person knows when you're down and knows exactly how to get you back up. You feel that this person is so much a part of you that you can feel their presence no matter what. As far as the bible.. I don't recall any mention of a soulmate. However it'd be somewhat of a task to find out.

A soulmate is the person that makes you complete. They know you every thought, can carry on a conversation with poise. They don't care about what is on the outside, they you because yu are beautiful on the inside and vice versa. Looks don't matter in this situation. It is completely and utterly mind boggling. If you're loking for yours, they probably already exist, youjust have always thought of them as a friend. But trust me that perosn knows your every whim. You tell them your every secret. They have already been attatched to your soul.. the question is do you know it.

I think its when you really know someone is going to be one with you. The bible constantly refers to the two becoming 'one'. It also talks about how the husband 'knew' his wife.

Its not a 'feeling' since those come and go. But a constant knowing that this is the person that you are to be with no matter what happens. Any circumstance that would bring uncertainty to any other relationship just confirms your relationship when you 'know'. Couples are great at forgiving each other, because they ultimately 'know'. Feelings are responders to circumstances. 'Knowings' are proactive to any circumstance.

I think people who knew their spouse in this way usually don't get remarried after the death of their spouse. (I'm not saying remarriage is a bad thing, just noting from people who I've known through the ages who had this special kind of oneness with the person they loved).

I think there is no such thing. Sure, there are people that you will become close to throughout your life but there isn't "just one" person out there for you. (assuming you are talking about a marriage partner) Hopefully you will be married to only one person your entire life but you could marry anyone and it could work out. (Not that you should marry just anyone...) Stay close to God and make the focus of the marriage on him no matter who you marry.

I don't mean this to be a personal lecture - I don't know anything about you - this is just what I believe and is directed to anyone.

A soul mate is someone that is connected to you. This could be your friend, your child, your parent, your spouse. I don't think it means the love of your life. It is someone that knows what you think and what you need before you do. The Bible tells us that God is our soul mate.

Soul mates are people you've felt like you've already known that you've just met. I don't know if that's in the bible because I feel it's kind of a reincarnation thing
