Hi...
I loved girl scout camp as a kid..and love camping now as an adult....
How old are you? Where abouts are you going camping? What type of camping are you doing (tent, cabin, motor home, etc.) are you going all nature...digging own porta potty's or using out houses, or bathroom facilities..all of the above are fun...
things that you might want to bring...for at night...besides a flashlight....a book, an air mattress (if you are tent camping..sometimes can be uncomfortable on ground), sleeping bags, your own pillow, book or tour book..of places to see in the area you are camping, stamps and paper and pen, etc.
you might want to bring repellent, map, matches or lighter, a snack in a plastic or metal container (so bugs and animals dont get into it). plenty of clothes that you can dress in layers...hiking boots (less likely to twist an ankle on hiking trails), towels, rope, small knife...
just some ideas...
I dont recommend you wearing or using scented soap or perfumes (bugs) unscented is best....
also we brought a tarp to put under the tent..so when the ground was wet..our tent wounldn't be..as well as we put one over the tent as well at night sometimes....

the first camp i went to i was nervous , but after the first day, i wasn't because there was a lot of stuff to do and a bunch of new kinds that i made friends with.. remember to have fun
