i got the new samsung slide d807, which has a microSD slot... with the adapter that it comes with, i put it my comp and dragged my songs, for the mp3 player, however 3/4's of the songs wont play, because its saying "filename too long". how do i change??

You change that with and ID tag editor...This changes the information that's stored on the mp3 files name...

on windows, you can select all the songs and click rename on one of the songs. It will rename all songs and add a number within parenthesis. You will lose the file name to song association, but if your mp3 files have proper ids, you will be able to find the title on any mp3 player.
e.g.
Before
---------
File_name.mp3
File_another_name.mp3
After
New_Name.mp3
New_Name(1).mp3

if it say too long name so u must rename it in your computer or on mp3 player
just rename it
it's not complex
