if it is an above ground pool best bet is to drain it and then scrub the bottom with a mixture of bleach and water... that's what i did with mine!!

Shock treating your pool only kills the bacteria, algae, etc. Then you need to filter and vacuum your pool, then backwash the filter to clear the gunk from it.

somewhat but to get it right you have to vacuum the bottom . pools are work for sure but great to jump into when its hot.
