You are not too young to have feelings like this so don't worry about it.
If you are twelve, and he is not sick, I guess he is the same age as you are. so you are his first crush. If that is the case he will never get over you. I still think about my first crush. If you went over to him and spoke to him, let him know you feel the same way.
I also know how scary it would be to tell a guy you like, that you like him. So just go talk to him, and spent time with him. It will happen naturaly. Good luck. My only piece of old person advice is not to change your self to fit him. Be strong in the person you are, he will love you even more for it.

walk up to him and openly tell him your feelings!!! tell him that you would like to invite him over for dinner or to hang out. tell him you think that he is hot and that you would like to be his girlfriend. what do you have to lose? you are young enough to bounce back and start over with another boy if it falls through yet i dont think it will. anyway youll have your answer!!

i had a prob with this before...and we're just the same age..hee..well...it was hard..i had to pretend i didn't like him coz his cuz was one of my buds..and she dsnt appreciate me crushing on him or vice versa..[[i really dnt knw y..]] well..i think you should just ask one of your friends if he still likes you...we still don't knw if it's love...well..if he does...strike up a conversation...tell him if what his friends said to you is true....hehe..=D

its easier if he liked you before. just make him realize your feelings. compliment him and laugh at his jokes so hard so he will feel better when he is around you(dont be an idiot and laugh every word he says)
