Both requires a lot of attention in order to keep them happy. If you are in school, having a girlfriend will probably make your grades suffer. On the other hand, having a unhappy wife will cause you to suffer.

Yes.It certain affects your progress while your burden greatly increased, be it your mind, your emotion, as well as finance burden, all these will drag you down. As for having a wife during studying is a big NO.

it depends if you have an understanding and supportive wife/gf. if you do, then she can serve as your inspiration and motivation. otherwise she's just a distraction
