Well, you know the old saying : "The Internet is for porn!". I think that in the internet "adult entertaniment" field there is both great potential for buissness (as in, lots of discering customers with varied tastes), but also great competition.
You have to really offer something special. I would go with these though :
- Large and varied offering. Never say no and offer your customer something similar if you don't happen to have the object they were looking for.
- Clean design. Safe site. Don't clutter your site with links to ten thousand sponsors or other sites. This is about you. Make your site clean, with lots of light colors (no red text on black background), study the new web2.0 site designs for inspirations (there are even readymade, free templates available for you to try). Also, don't exaspherate the client with pop-up ads, large color ads etc.
- Smile and don't tell the cops anything. :)

Perhaps i should be duum guy, but i guess i'd market an online adult novelty towards adults.
