I am looking for the lyrics to a song I heard in 1987-88 I've never heard it since. The lyrics in the 'details
Heard in Fort Sill, OK., in basic training, during 'K.P.' duty on a pop radio station. 'Take my hand and I'll show you the way. I'll be back/ (or) come back, another day" A very upbeat tune sung by a woman/ girl. Those are the only lyrics I know. It was popular when 'Father Figure' was pop. Belinda Carlisle did 'Circles In The Sand'. The person singing the song sounds like Belinda Carlisle, Tiffany, and Debbi Gibson all rapped into one. At least I think so. I am thirty seven years old now. Still looking for this song or singer/band? Looked on Napster, by 'Billboard' year. Nothing! It might have been a local band. Somebody out there must know. There is a five dollar $5.00 reward for the first correct response.
It has been over eighteen years since I have begun my search. I have a feeling this is my last hope. Please O B 1, don't let me down, your my only hope . Lather, rince, repeat.

1. Living For Yesterday

I can't turn back the hands of time
Can't change the past or bring back a life
I'll stay inside if you talk with me
About the places I've left behind
Tonight I'm going back to remember
And walk these streets of my yesterdays
Tonight I'm going back to the feeling
Life goes on and we are what we are

[Bridge]
Tell me now, do you feel the same
Have you found an answer deep inside your soul
Tell me now, can you take me back where I belong
Back to my yesterdays

Well I'm here for the day and closer to the chase
But I know when tomorrow comes
I'll be right back in the same place
And I've come so far, to turn back now
Would mean the end of everything I fought for

[Bridge]

[Chorus]
Living for yesterday, hope there is another way
Tell me now, do you feel the same
Tonight I'm going back for the last time
Tell me now, can you take me back where I belong
Back to my yesterdays

We all were left behind
Passed by changing times
I still feel it's coming back someday
We are the last to fight
For what once was and still could be
Can you take us back?

[Bridge]
[Chorus]

I've done a little research..and here's what i came up with..
these are only assumptions...i haven't downloaded any of the songs..but you could search for their lyrics and see if anything seems familiar
i didn't check the years...sorry
if you do find the name but not the song itself...i could help with that...
keep in mind that a man or a band could be playing the same song...

Catherine - Four Leaf Clover
The Other Ones - Holiday
Mich Sampson - Justin's Song
Danielle Paris - I can't stand it

hope this helps...although from what i saw the lyrics weren't 100% similar...

If you even had a lil bit more than the one line, I could probably help you out..I'm like a walking encyclopedia of music, especially music from the 80's. It REALLY sounds familair but like I said, with the one line..I can't quite catch the tune in my head. But it's almost there....damn, that's frustrating.
