I'm training to be an actress and I know I am very good and will be a star eventually. Its called ambitious confidence and we are encouraged to have that attitude. My old friends cant see it though. How do I explain I am still one of them, even if not forever?

You may be encouraged to have that attitude, and its fine for work, but you are acting that way in front of people who know you. If they've all decided its a problem, are you sure its not?
What does your Mum say about the new you? Can't you drop the I Am An Actress around your mates and just be a mate?

I think the last four words of the question are actually the answer. Whether or not you are successful there will come a day when you desperately need your friends - the real ones, the ones you knew before you hit the big time. Take it out of their faces and you may stay in their hearts.

i actually didn't get the exact pic of u anyway bein' ambitious is good, very good, it's important in life but don't always show it out-jst don't show it too much that is like bein' extra dramatic.
if i am wrong in the above that is if u think u did not show-off a lot infront of ur frnds, then jst picturise each of ur frnds-they won't b jealous of u right?
u c at times u might b doin' the right thin' but the ppl around u will b against u so u may have to ignore them & work hard.
but 2 make sure ur doin' the right thin' ask ur mom. or u can do a God test-that is think whether wat u do is somethin' God that God dislikes, think wat God thinks abt this.
if u know ur really good at it u must b good!

They do not hate you, they envy the choices you have made and the opportunities you have been given. I wanted to be able to act and when I was trying my friends extracted the p*** constantly.

But dont worry about ur friends. If they are true friends they might encourage and help you to ur success. Incase if they hate you, then they arent ur true friends. They might be jealous on you. Dont bother about those. Just go on ur way till you acheive ur goal. Good luck my friend.

Maybe you are a little bit ego-centric,so they don't hate you.You just get on their nervs... Lossen up a little bit.You have to decide what is more important to you: your sucsses or your friends.And I think its wrong for you to say you are still one of them even if not forever.You obviously think you are better than them,and you aren't.In that case,it is better for you,and for them to split up,because if you are going to continue acting like that,you can forget about friendships.

maybe they see your "confidence" as boasting and big-headedness. you also said in your question something about how to explain to your oldest friends you're still one of them, even if not forever. that's just like saying you only want to be their friend for as long as it suits you, and you'll ditch them when you get fed up of them. a good friend is easier to lose than to get, remember that. but hey, what am i saying? it's your life, and if you want to wreck it, go ahead.

having to much ambition and confidence can lead to your friends turning away from you as they can see the difference in you even if you can't .If they are your true friends they will be able to see through this trying time for you as you struggle to find something that will enhance and change your life for the better .

If they are your friends, you do not have to explain one dammed thing to them..
It is the people that are not your friend that you might think that you have to explain something to them.
A friend will accept you as you are.
