The only time a woman can get pregnant is when she is ovulating. A woman ovulates about 2 weeks (usually 12-16 days) before her *next* period.
To learn to recognize the signs of fertility, please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It is pretty simple, but the explanation is long, so it would be difficult to summarize it in a few paragraphs.

there is actually only a small window frame in which a woman gets pregnant, it is suppose to be 14 days after you stop your period, and about 14 days before your next period begins, most women operate on a 28day cycle, the 14th and 15th days are your best bets as your egg is released from the ovaries thru your tubes and into the cervix, if it is not fertilized it will wither away and be sloughed off during your next period, a woman only releases one egg, where the man releases hundreds of sperms at once, good luck to you....

3 days to a week before your period. I was told this and 7 weeks later turned out 6 weeks 5 days pregnant. Oh and have sex at least every other day before.

What you might need to do is go to walmart and get an ovulation test thing or call your doctor and they can tell you steps you might need to take in order to conceive

now this is just an old wives tale, but i have heard that if after intercourse you put your butt up against the headboard and your legs straight in the air for atleast 10 minutes that will help!!
