my sister and i got the movie and she said she got freaked out when she saw it :)

Its an excellent movie , but its pretty disturbing and definately scary, The book scared me even more , check out these titles from the same author, (Thomas Harris) Red Dragon, Hanibal, Black friday, all three are good movies and books, Silence... being the best

The series of books by Harris with Hannibal, Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs and Hannibal were excellent....until you get to Hannibal, where Harris seems to "lose his mind" (watch the movie) along with the story. Silence of the Lambs takes us deep into the evil mind of Dr. Hannibal through the eyes of FBI agent Clarice Starling. By pointing out and enjoying the fears of her childhood, he guides her in her quest to find a serial killer. If you read the papers or watch the news, you will realize there are real "monsters" like this on the loose.......that's what makes it scary. Good strong female characters in this one.

It is an incredibly good movie. If you watch it and just admire the superb acting by Anthony Hopkins you might not get freaked out. (Just realize it is acting and admire his performance) Jodie Foster is very good, also.While this movie does plumb to the depth of depravity there is also the notion of good overcoming evil.

It is scary but it is amazing the movie won an Oscar and so did Jodie Foster,it eas loosley based on the true story of Ed Gein a real life serial killer who skinned his victims and also ate some,pshyco was also based on him.

It's an excellent movie!
It's not really scary, just very, very suspenseful. It's a little bit gory too. But is a good movie, I'd recommend watching it to see for yourself.

back in the days, it was very scary! Today, we're quite accustomed to those movies, I don't know if you'll find it as scary!

not really. actually, it's kinda boring. there are freaky parts when buffalo bill puts on the skin of other women. gross. that's about it. now, hannibal is really scary. it takes alot for a movie to scare me. it sent chills down my sping. espeically, the brain part. yuck...
