Now, I have some suggestions, and they are kids movies, but if you haven't seen them, they are worth it....very entertaining and fun for anyone!
1. The Lion King (first one only, the sequals were rather poor)
2. Finding Nemo
3. Mary Poppins
4. The Wizard of Oz
5. The Little Mermaid

It depends on what kind of movie that you are looking for, there is a relatively newer movie, called The Notebook, it is a very good romantic movie. As far as comedy goes, Nanny McPhee is very good, it is rated PG for mild thematic elements, some rude humor and brief language.

Garfield
Finding Nemo
Because of Winn Dixie

These are older but my son's favorites watches over and over:
Babe
Sandlot 1 & 2
Gordy
Dunstan Checks In
Legally Blonde
The Goonies
Spawn (not for all kids as the "hero" goes to Hell and earns redemption...too scary for little kids)
