World hunger could have been over for a long time. The resources are such that there is enough food for everyone in the world. The reason world hunger still exists is because the world must first have world peace for world hunger to be resolved. This will never happen because all wars are about money and/or religion and these two are never going to go away.

Sadly, no ... not a permanent end ... but there is a lot we can do to reduce it.

But a lot of things would have to change.

People in all socio-economic strata need to re-assess their lifestyles ... nearly all of us could 'tighten our belts' ... but few of us are motivated to actually do so ...

Governments and organizations that impair the flows across borders for ideological reasons (and governments on the other side of those borders that create the ideological friction) need to take a step back from self-serving policies.

Groups that create 'artificial' differences by valuing one tribe, sect, or nationality over another in order to enrich themselves by depriving others need to be eliminated.

Sadly, the probability of any of these (on a wide scale) is remote and the likelihood of all of them converging to eradicate hunger is close to NIL ...

But that does not mean we should not try. If one of us helps one other person in need, we have a foot on the path to a solution.

No and it is not the fault of "politicians". No end to world hunger until either (A) basic selfish nature of man changes (unlikely) or (B) unlimited resources are discovered (impossible).

And the "politicians" answer is very funny. Politicians are our representatives. As such, if they are to blame, it is only becuase they are representing us. Thus, the blame ultimately falls on us.
