You may have a leaky pipe which has caused mold to form in the home. (this can be severely toxic) Get out and get a plumber to come test for a pressure leak, and check for mold in the walls. Certain kinds of mold in the home can be fatally toxic.

I had that once, it turned out to be a dead mouse.
