Yeah, I saw him on JR and he seemed ok. Pretty clean if not totally and reasonably mild-mannered. But everyone goes on about the drugs when for me it's only an issue if the guy's a horrible person when he's on crack and/or smack. Otherwise it's just his business. Sadly, from the interviews I've seen, the things I've read (both in the rags and on Libertines/Babyshambles forums) and the stories I've heard from people who have met him, he seems to often become a very aggressive, arrogant, selfish and self-centred person. Whether it's caused by drugs or not is almost irrelevant. I didn't learn anything new from the JR interview. I already knew he could be sweet and amiable at times. Though I do worry about the ego of people who present gifts relating to themselves rather than a shared interest.

I think he has had a hard time with the press cos of the drugs . He was always portrayed as a complete bastard so I never liked him. After seeing him for the first time in an interview on j ross I realised that he is actually a really nice guy. I can see what Kate Moss saw in him now. I always knocked her for going out with him before. He seems like a kind hearted young guy. For the first time ever I actually found him quite attractive.

Agree with you so much. The poor lad looked like a lost puppy.
I would think he is very easily influenced by other people and therefore bows to the pressure of drugtaking
I really hope he doesnt end up like many other drugged up stars. Seems like such a nice fella

I did and I was amazed as I'd written him off as a real loser but he was a really sweet guy who's had a few problems. I pray that he stays off the drugs and lives to a ripe old age, he's got great talent and it would be a shame if he left the planet early due to an over dose!!

I must admit Karlos......i watched it thinking im going to instantly dislike the fella.
Somehow the opposite happened, and even though he seemed like occasionally he was on another planet (Thats what Class A drugs do to you!) he came across as better than what the papers and media portray him as.
Lets hope he wins the battle to come off drugs!!!!

It was probably all just a front. Don't know what anyone sees in him. If he cannot see what damage he's doing to himself, and constantly refuses to seek help, he will soon have letters after his name: i.e., R.I.P.
Pete, GET ON THE CASE NOW, FOR YOUR OWN SAKE.

completely... he should not be allowed on television in that state. The music became wonderful - authbiographical I ought to imagine. The worst bit isn't the state he's in - it is the undeniable reality that JR is pandering to him. in spite of!
