I'm a mechanic and I wouldn't even try. You need a tranny specialist .

A 5r55e is pretty simple to tear and rebuild but you need the books and tools only a transmission shop or dealer has to do it.. it's not a DIY thing anymore.
Plus even though the kits are a couple of hundred dollars, you have to know what you are doing to rebuild them and getting a trans tech to do it for you afterhours will still cost you at least $500 labor with no guarantees
