I like to know enough about a subject to answer a Jeopardy question on it. Human nature really isn't too hard to understand..

Yes, but I think the more you study the less you understand. The more you expand your mind the more you realize how much you don't know as there are too many subjects. You can try and you will enjoy the search. Somewhere along the line you will understand some things but others will always remain mysterious. There is always something more to study so if you are bored you are just lazy. Explore as much as you can because life is too short.

I wish to understand, yes, but has that to do with knowledge? Do you think, that just because we know 2+2=4, we actually understand it? How many times do we walk by people knowing something is wrong with them or the world and don´t actually get it? To understand it, is to ultimately accept that knowledge and experience bow to compassion, you understand once you realize you can never imagine and yet, grasp what it means. You need to live it, not live through it, but live it, out of your own free will, and then you understand, knowing won´t help...

I'm not really on a quest so to speak of knowledge, because we're always learning new "stuff" in our daily lives. It just happens. But when there is something that I would like to understand that I do not, I make a point of learning more about it in order to help me understand.

I am always on a quest for knowledge. Heck, I keep asking the bookies who has the best chance of winning the Preakness.

Do I wish to understand? Heck, yes. I can't understand these freaking foreigners who come jabber their language at me.

SPEAK ENGLISH, for God's sake!

A person with limited knowledge feels like he is standing in the middle of a pond, he can see land a few feet away from him.
But a person who is enlightened finds himself standing in the middle of an ocean, all he sees is water.

I wish to know everything i need to and understand everything i want to.

My life is a quest for knowledge and I do greatly wish to understand.

Just now, at my age, I am beginning to understand that I understand nothing.

That may just be the beginning of knowledge.

I am. And I am desperate to understand. But I cannot be specific, so even if somebody said they had all the answers, and asked me what I would like to know, I would be unable to ask my questions.
