I had a friend who had the same thing done when he was 26yrs old cuz he already had over 15 kids floating out there! But when he met his soul mate he did the reverse thingy and he was told to wait 4wks for it to heal. They had sex within the 1st week, later on he had to go back in to the hospital for a infection at the site of surgery. Other problems he had for not waiting was buildup of fluid in the scrotum (hydrocele) that required draining and Injury to the arteries or nerves in the scrotum.
You are suppose to wait 3wks or more to make sure everything heals properly without problems. If you have sex within the 3wks you should look at the complications it can cause:
Infection at the site of surgery.
Buildup of fluid in the scrotum (hydrocele) that may require draining.
Injury to the arteries or nerves in the scrotum.

You have to wait 3 weeks because it takes that long for the procedure to become effective, A little known fact is that a man can still impregnate a woman within the first couple weeks after having the operation. Also You can tear out the sutures, and cause permanent nerve damage which could leave him permanently impotent. or otherwise unable to obtain or maintain an erection.

No risk to his health, but complete healing is not a direct connection with the amount of bruising and swelling. Obviously, the doctors uses very tiny little stitches to reconnect the vas back together. Hopefully, the "spasms" that come with orgasm didn't tear any of them that might not have healed completely. If so, it could affect the overall success of the reversal.

You may have...
If the connection did not heal all the way and you put the pressure of ejaculation on it there may have been a separation of the tube ends.
For your sake Don't blow a wad anymore for the next week and a half...
Then go get the sperm count done to see if you two messed up big time or not.

For everything to heal. Sex less than 3 weeks after reversal and it'll fall off.

The 3 weeks is not punishment for your sex life, its to allow him to physically heal so he doesn't heal or bruise. I know you miss your fun, but rushing things may cause problems for him and possible pregnancy for you. Be patient and give him the time to heal he needs. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.
