My dad. I would try to get his perspective of my life since he has been watching from the sidelines for 15 years.

funny, i often think about the same thing. my best friend died after a wall collapsed on her 3 1/2 years ago...a freak accident. she was in her 30's, a great mom, wife and dedicated teacher. in fact she died after taking some kids to do their ged exam, which she volunteered to do. i've never gotten over her death as i wasn't in the country she died in. i also lost my grandma to cancer in 04 and 2 other very good friends in less then 6 months. again, not there to bury them. i think about them often and have this weird death fear now. i can't travel due to immigration and haven't been able to process all this dying stuff. til recently, i never had anyone close die. most of my fam is still alive. now i fear for everyone especially my daughter. i guess i'd want to talk to them to see how they're doing on the other side and to finally say goodbye. why ? what is your take on this ? i've been told that contacting the dead isn't a good thing as you can also invite spirits that aren't who you're seeking and they can become a nuisance...or worse. take care.
