There's some very good advice at the link below. My advice to you (as a former student) is to put why you want to study and communicate your enthusiasm. Good luck!

Make out that you want to work hard and do well in your studies but that you also enjoy the social life and the fun parts of uni life too. These uni's don't want dull people at them - they want people who will join in with clubs and societies etc. Also put in why you want to study that particular course and what appeals to you most about it. If you can you could cite any previous experience you have in that field (if you do). Good Luck!

Write down some own issues, like an exciting interest, or perchance you probably did a voluntary interest. Hell, you may want to even say you want to loaf around the following in simple terms to point that you want assisting strangers. yet be trustworthy. Sound enthusiastic (for you're captivated with the interest) without telling how enthusiastic you're. maximum significantly, tell 'em in basic terms adequate to cause them to fascinated by you.

Sell youself. Tell them your hobbies, tell them why you've chosen this degree, any work experience - even if its behind a counter or bar. If you're good at a particular sport or you've been on a team let them know. Just make sure that you have a paragraph on The reason I have chosen to pursue a degree in "whatever" is that my ultimate ambition is to "whatever".

It depends on the course you're applying for ... Basically you have to show them why you're interested in that particularly course, do you want to make a career out of it or do you just want to study out of interest?
If you have any relevant experience to that course jot that down too. You don't state what course it is you're applying for so it's hard to give further advice!
Good luck on it though.
