Your number doesn't make sense to me.Should there be a comma somewhere? I've never two decimals in a number before and I teach math! If the number is supposed to be 438,217.065 then the 6 is in the hundredths place ( the zero in the tenths and the 5 in the thousandths). Recheck and reply to me.

47,983 rounded to the nearest ten thousands would be 50,000.

438.217065 then 4 is in the 100th place else if the given no is right then asked to ur teach.
