George Bush Sucks. Yes. However, why is it that you Brits never look at some of the trouble in your own country?

Let's start with Tony Blair: An American muppet who led your country into a war because of the Yanks.

Two words: Home Office.

A new political scandals regarding Labour every week.

During a knife "amnesty" of five weeks (May 24 - June 20) 19 fatal stabbings occured within England and Wales, and 4 in Scotland.

One word: Glasgow.

Brits and everyone else claiming benefits, even if they need them or not. Asylum seekers getting everything for free.

A baby gets raped and what's the jail sentence? 8 years.

The UK, with the current government is going downhill...

WHY DON'T BRITS FOCUS ON THEIR OWN COUNTRY AND TRY TO FIX IT BEFORE WORRYING ABOUT THE COUNTRY OVER THE POND? YOU THINK AMERICANS ARE GOING TO CARE WHAT YOU THINK?

I think since America and the UK are such staunch allies, well, I think it's OK for criticism from both parties.

I couldn't agree with you more that Labour isn't really doing great in the United Kingdom, just like Bush is ******* America up since he got elected.

Personally I don't care whether Americans are bothered about what we think or not. A large proportion of Americans don't even know where the UK is.

There are a lot of things wrong with the UK - we have our political scandals... The Home Office, John Prescott and all the rest, just as the USA does (or did you forget Watergate - correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think we ever had to impeach a Prime Minister).
We have our murders and crime rate - again just like the USA, but again your murder rate per head of population is wayyyy above ours... 23 fatal stabbings in 5 weeks is nothing to be proud of - but you're the one with the statistics... tell us how many fatal stabbings in the USA in the same period...?

The ridiculously light sentences handed down for serious crimes in the UK is making the government and judiciary into a laughing stock and many people are complaining about it. But the USA won't let us extradite suspected criminals from the US to the UK even though we allow extradition in the other direction... but then the US often makes the rules solely for it's own benefit.

I totally agree with you that the present Labour government is doing the UK no good whatsoever, but they were democratically elected and until they are democratically removed they will remain the government.

I wasn't aware that the UK was particularly concerned about the scandals and crime in the USA, in general we are far too polite to stick our noses in - it's usually the USA that seems to set itself up as "World Policeman".

There is one area where the UK is - and should be - concerned about what the US is doing... how about cutting back some of your carbon emissions so the rest of the World gets a chance to breathe? Or again is this a case of America First and Damn the Rest?

The USA and the UK are more alike than you probably care to admit - we fought on the same side in both World Wars (I hardly need mention that the US was late getting into both), we both believe in democracy and freedom and both our populations generally think our governments should improve both. Both our countries despise terrorism, fascism, communism and any form of unfairness or restrictions on personal liberty.

Perhaps rather than exchanging insults across "The Pond" we should concentrate on uniting against the things that threaten us all - North Korea, Terrorism, Global Warming etc etc

well at least you acknowledge there are Brits on here, most people seem to think it is an American only site.
And oddly, a lot of us agree with you. This country is in a mess, Blair is so enamoured with your President that he fails to focus on what's going on here.
yes he followed Bush into a war, a lot of us didn't want or agree with, don't believe all you read, we didn't all stand shoulder to shoulder with you on that.
yes we do have a worrying knife culture and child molestors do get offensive light prison sentences, it is a disgrace and the public are constantly trying to get the message through to Blair.
Not all brits and 'everyone else' claim benefits, we have children as young as six caring for their disabled parents 24/7 saving the government millions each year.
Asylum seekers don't always get 'everything for free'. There will always be those who milk the system, immigrants and Brits. Our immigration system is disastrous and all politicians know it. It is a major issue, but because the word 'racist' is used so freely nowadays, that even if you stand on someone's foot when leaving the cinema, if the person is ethnic you seem to be labelled 'racist' . it makes it hard to enforce any laws to tighten up immigration.
if you don't care what we think, why are you so interested in the state of the UK. Tell your president to find other 'allies' and send the Prime Minister packing. He was elected to do a job and he doesn't do it adequately.

Oh but we do try !

As you should know however, it's always easier solving someone Else's problems, than solving ones own !

"The UK, with the current government is going downhill..."
I couldn't agree with you more.

**Don't forget that, the USA relies very heavily on the UK for support in many fields (no pun intended)!
