With a hammer then buy a decent car. Other than that, buy the Haynes manual

Generally, unless you are sure about what you are doing, you don't. If it runs at all, start it and run through some carburetor cleaner, that may be enough to fix it.

And to the person who is telling you that you spelled it wrong, no he didn't. Just like colour and centre, Carburettor is the European spelling.

If you are near North East Scotland I can help you out , if not sorry bud, Clean everything and count all the turns of every screw you remove so you can refit , however I suspect if you need to ask this question you dont have the skills to do this overhaul or even to recognise worn parts when you remove them. Sorry to be so offputting. An after thought , try Redex or Greenex depending on what your car like to drink , you put some down in the carb and some more in the tank and lots of crud comes out the exhaust with lots of smoke , which clears. hope this helps.

If you don't have time to buy a Haynes manual to work on that carb., don't attempt it; especially if you don't know where the jets are. Take it to somebody qualified. Don't want to sound blunt, but you can REALLY screw them up BAD if you don't have a clue. i cannot tell you, because I've never done one. Now if it was a Rochester, I used to eat, sleep, dream, and sh__ them.
