No, but most people see that as kind of being childish or avoiding reality. Stay unjaded for as long as you can.

That is great! Keep being this way. It's the optimist's of the world that make thing happen.

Ronald Reagan was an optimist and is now considered in the same list with George Washington and Abraham Lincoln as a President.

All the great business leaders are optimists and have made this the most powerful economic prower the world has ever known.

Being an optimist or a pessimist is not a matter of right or wrong. It's not even a matter of whether or not you have good reasons for either one. It's more a matter of your attitude, how you want to approach life. I think there is a third option--realism, which is both pessimistic and optimistic, or neither, but is based on reality, on what the facts are, not on feelings. There's a medical part to it, too. It takes 30 odd muscles to frown, and 5 or 6 to smile, and when you smile, you release a hemical that makes you feel better, so I'd say--keep on smiling, keep on being happy. You're keeping yourself mentally healthy that way, and you may help others to feel better. But also be a realist. Something may wipe that smile off your face, for a while, but then get it back.

Hi there

Being an optimist is NEVER wrong at ANY time. However being an optimist is very much different from being a lazy bum. You need to be sure what your friends are criticizing. False happiness can only make you feel more insecure. Instead you should be looking at the root of your problems & analyse them with an optimistic approach. That gives you better results & makes you feel more confident.

Besy of luck.

Thanks & Regards
Vinod

Well if your friends are right you at least are one happy nutter.
Go with the ride and look what live gives you.Maybe you will not stay happy or maybe you will.Enjoy it while it lasts.
In some way you could argue that it's wrong, there is a lot of misery in the world, and it's not nice to be happy when other people and children die,but than everyone should be extremely depressed all the time and how is that going to benefit anybody?
So keep up your high spirits and enjoy.

They are the ones crazy. Being an optimist makes life more meaningful having something to look forward each and every day. Those who are pessimist just can't find any meaning in their lives because they have been so dull.

I wouldn't say that I'm always happy, there are some days where I'm down in the dumps, but I don't pass those feeling on to others, it's not their fault that I'm grumpy, so to others I always try to have a ready smile. But feeling like you do is not wrong, eventually everything will work out, maybe not in the time frame we have set, but all will come to pass. Keep on smiling and when you meet someone on the streets with that smile you can betcha someone will smile back at you.

POSITIVELY NO!

Optimism is contageous.

More optimists drown out the pessimism, until one day, the entire world will be totally optimistic.

Isn't that a good thought for the day?

Glass always half full.

People tend to have personalities they adopt from their associates.

So, by all means, surround yourselves with optimists, think all the time, make this world a better place.

In due time, it will be.

If someone say that it is wrong to be optimistic then you should really think that something is wrong with them.As being optimistic will bring a drastic change within you and your surroundings.being positive is not going to harm anyone in anyway and it will lead only to effective results. So buddy,if anybody says not to be optimistic don't ignore it ,instead make them understand what a pleasure it is in being optimistic.

Ya,I also think that one must be optimist in life because this is a kind of encouragement to yourself.Like you said it'll keep you happy and make you want to discover more in life. But if you are too optimist this can also affect you in the sense that if you fail to do something you'lll be really disappointed.

Middle school? What on earth can they know about these things? Consider the source.

The Bible states that whatsoever things are good, to think on these things. It also states that, "as a man thinketh in his heart, so is he." This means that you become what you think about.

Your results will pretty much always be what you expect them to be, so being positive will bring positive results, and being negative will bring negative results.

I defy you to find a winner at sports or anything else who always believes that he will lose.

This world isn't all bad, but it seems like it is to negative thinking people. Just remember that you can change your life by changing your attitude.
