more likely the motor is worn out, but the switch might be bad also. Replace the switch first as it's easier and cheaper. If you are still having the same problems then tackle putting in a new motor.

I agree w/ newbee 1, don't just start replacing stuff just for the heck of it test it out first and make sure you're only buying what you need. Take off the door panel, get to the window motor, unplug from connector and apply 12V to it. To do this run 2 wires from battery to the contacts of the window motor. If you reverse the wires the motor will go one way and the other if reversed again. If this works fine then you're switch is bad.

if they are just moving slow but still work I really doubt it's the switch (switch allows power to the motor) could be a weak motor but also very likely the friction of the glass on the weather strips along the window frame and run-channel, clean the window on the edges and apply some silicone in the channels when the glass runs through

i would remove the trim panel and apply 12v to the motor and check the operation of the motor before i replaced anything.i agree with kato i bet the motor is getting weak and hot that is way it stops sometimes. i would also clean and lube the run channel.

You can remove the panels and apply 12v straight to the motor, if it operates normally then your problem will be the switch or wire connections.

Good Luck
