Why do women seem more 'emotional' than men?

Majority of blokes, yeah, think its gay if you have feelings.....
But aren't the male species supposed to have a feminine side?

you'#d think that men would have a least a bit of a feminine side seen as we all started off as women..in the old days the men were always in charge;hardcore people.
so nowadays it's almost like a tradition to be hardcore..i guess they do have a very large feminine side but just don't know how to show it..? I mean surely you've seen jack baurer in one of the 24 seasons crying..?!
yes even jack (the hardcore dude that he is) has a feminine side!
i know my dad does...he's always doing the laundry and stuff! when we went to tescos and my mum picked up some laundry detergent..he complained because it wasn't his brand..!
he's always the one who does the house work and treats my mum to facials and chocolate treats.the perfect sensitive but not too sensitive (he was a crewcheif and a medic in the army) husband and father to his kids..! why don't you other men follow his lead?

I don't think it's true that men are less emotional. It's just that being emotional is accepted, almost expected, when it comes to a woman, but not when it comes from a man.
In the end, a lot of women are actually less emotional than men. They tend to be more pragmatic about real life (i.e. getting a will drawn up, contracting for life insurance, etc.).

I've been in the business world a long time and am always astonished how emotional and irrational adult men get when they can't have things their way.

Women ARE more emotional than men.
Why do you think so few women join the Army, Police force & Fire Service?
Women will always turn to a man in a difficult situation.
Thousands of men died during World War I & II fighting for the freedom of this country, so women can sit at a PC asking dumb questions like this.

Right brain used more in most women. Left brain dominant in me. Has to do with testoterone bath in the womb by male babies at 27 weeks into pregnancy. The men that exercise the right brain (musicians, artists) are more emotional, well-rounded people.

Its not a question of women being more emotional then men, but the fact remails woman are more likely and ready to share their true feelings where a man can sometimes hide his inner thoughts & views.

Its entirely cultural. We learn it and we do it because its expected. Women who can control their emotions are seen as cold and untrustworthy.
In South America and France its normal for men to get emotional. So they do. They cry in public, argue and wave their arms about, hug each other and demonstrate affection.
It has nothing to do with hormones.

As answered in a previous question...

Men aren't really less emotional than women, it is just that we are brought up and taught by mothers (and fathers) that we shouldn't show emotions, because they are "girlie" or "sissy" or "gay" (last one really was said to me by my father - who turned out to be a racist homophobe!!!)

This is ingrained from when we are little and told not to cry when we hurt ourselves, but to be "brave little soldiers"!!!

Some of us, however, are more than happy to show a myriad of emotions and wear our hearts on our sleeves...

AND DAMN PROUD OF IT!!!

It is the role/ gift God gave women. We "feel" more than men therefor we are more emotional. This is also why God says in the bible that our husbands are to lead over us.. In otherwords, we think with our hearts..men think with their heads (more often)

Like it or not, men and women were created differently. Women are more emotional. Men are more rational. Men do have emotions and women can be rational, but women's tendencies are more emotional.
