Rikki-Tikki-Tavi is by Kipling, it's a story about a mongoose as you say, The Charge of the Light Brigade is by the poet Tennyson, so probably they were found together in some sort of collection, as opposed to a story book by a single author. Hope that helps . . .

If it had those two selections (one a story by Kipling and the other a poem by Tennyson) it had to be an anthology of some sort.
I wonder if you remember any other selections in it or anything more about the illustrations.
I am looking for some books I read as a child too. When I find them it's like going home again--and I'm 70 years old.

Rikki-tikki-tavi is Rudyard Kipling, but it's not from the Jungle Book. I have it on a CD of his short stories. Good luck, hope you find it.

doesn't sound like he "quite" some thing. Geez. Are you putting forward that both of you've 4 youthful toddlers together? in case you experience that he's all lies, then perchance you should judge the alternative. Marriage isn't the only answer to a relationship. once you've been together for years and it quite works, then why attempt to fix it? in spite of the indisputable fact that, if some thing were to ensue to him, you quite should be entitled to his advantages....
