As we age, our skin gets thinner and we are able to see our veins more prominently. Look at your mother or grandmother to see how this will happen to you. It's genetics. Tanning helps a little, but there's nothing you can really do. If you have spider veins or varicose veins, you can see a doctor about that.

Since they have just started to show, and you have been the same weight for longer than that, it may be a symptom of varicose veins, as mentioned in the other answer. Varicose veins showing up may be a sign of some sort of circulatory problem. You may want to check wikipedia and www.mayoclinic. com for some basic information or discuss it with your doctor.
For a diet that may help you gain weight, check out www.hufa.org, in the library section. The books there are based on balancing blood sugar to maintain a healthy weight. The theory, in the Zone books, is that if one is underweight due to a blood sugar imbalance, it will help one gain. I truly do not know if a blood sugar imbalance can lead to varicose veins, though.

After 10 years of struggling with all sorts of creams and pills to treat this embarrassing problem I was able to get rid of my varicose veins by using natural healing methods and alternative herbal home remedies.
Read Diane Thompson's "Varicose Veins Secrets" (also available in electronic format at: http://www.varicoseveinscure.org ). By following this guide book I was able to eradicate my varicose veins pretty fast. God bless!

Veins carry blood from all parts of body to heart. In thin individuals they are seen on extremities. It`s not a sign of ill health. But if you want to cover them naturally with fat, please eat high calorie diet like sweets, ice creams, chocolates and if u r society permits have a glass of wine before each meal for 15 days

stress plays a big part in this.your husband telling you to gain weight could be a big part of the stress. you have great metabolism, your 5'1" at 100lbs you have a great build that is amazing after having two(+) kids. i have never tried it because it doesn't bother me but if you drink alot of soda stop. start drinking water this might help rehydrate your body and is less stressful good luck
