and engage in other dangerous activities? to say its there doesnt
really explain too much. how do you feel about the idea when we dont have danger right on our heels
we may feel lazy, so in the right conditions danger is a constructive force. you often hear ppl say they never felt so alive
as when they just had a brush with death.

Some people find that being on the verge of possible death makes them feel more alive than any one point in their lives. A major rush!!

Believe it or not, some people are addicted to the Adrenalin rush they receive by constantly challenging themselves or by putting themselves in dangerous situations. Others have no fear or move past their fear...and this enables them to function better in other parts of their lives. I find it interesting that so many things that make us do the unexpected or deviate from the mainstream can often be traced back to brain activity and chemical balances. It's as though we were created this way to generate different personalities. Interesting thought, anyway.

It is a sense of accomplishment and they feel satisfied or it is like on top of the world after reaching the peak. They felt it is worth it despite the danger that they were facing.

People do dangerous things because once they have completed them, they have a sense of accomplishment. They can tell other people about what they did and it will seem amazing. Brushes with death remind you of your own mortality, so you feel more alive than ever.

I think it's invigorating to do something dangerous and make it through it. Also, thrill seeking may be a way to let go of one's fears, to face them and overcome them. Holding on to fear is letting something control your life. Doing dangerous stuff is letting go of that fear. To some degree, I think you are right, people who these things might not only feel they have conquered fear but to some degree that they have conquered death (in a sense).
