Look for the ATTACH button. This should bring up a FILE FIND window. Then look for your picture and hit OK. When the file is attached, you should see that file name with the message.

This is so easy, a CAVE MAN can do it. But every e-mail program is slightly different. If you need to see it work, then send the e-mail to your own address. Then you will see how you can open the attached file.

If you are using a text only setting, you can't INSERT the photo in the message. There should be a Message Format option, that will allow you to insert the photo directly into the message.

First the photo needs to be the right size to post, you shouldn't e-mail anything over 1 meg and nothing near as big as that if the recipient isn't expecting it - you'll fill their inbox! You also need to change the format to jpeg as these are designed for this kind of thing. There are two freeware programs that will let you do this, The Gimp is equal to Photoshop; & and Irfanview is simpler and more suited to beginners. Make sure you re-size and save to web as a copy, not the original photo!
The easiest way to post is to put your e-mail copy on the desktop of your account that you use for the internet. If the resipient also hase XP then you can zip the photo to reduce the size a bit more; just right click on the file and select send to -zip file.
When you click the "send attatchment" button in your e-mail, it will open a window to browse to the document, and you just click on the filename then ok.
Try to get it to about 500kb maximum for politeness; if your freind wants a bigger version they can let you know.

depends on your "email client"...

do you go to a web page to send emails? or do you use "microsoft outlook"?

if you use MS outlook, you can simply right click the file and mouse over "send to" and select "mail recipient" and it will be ready to send once you enter in the address.

if you use a web client, like yahoo mail, you have to find the "email attachment" button (or something similiarly named) when you compose a new message. click "browse".. it will start some place on your hard drive, and you have to select the file you want to attach.

on the left side, click the "my documents" button, and then select the name of the picture. once you have the NAME of the file you want to attach, click the "attach" button. the browser will wait (for a VERY long time if the picture is big!) and then say "successfully attached". at that point, you add the recipients email address and click send!

If you want to send someone a picture via email, simply click "Add attachments" (or something similar--it varies from email server to email server) and it should bring you to that box-thing which contains ALL of your documents. You know that little box that pops up when you open up a document from Word, or save a new document? That's the box I'm talking about. From there, select My Documents, then double-click on the picture document. This action will either return you to the "add attachments" screen, or will immediately begin attaching it. It may take a while, depending on the size of the picture, but when it finishes, you may then send it to whomever you wish!

Hope this helps!

Buona fortuna!

get yahoo photo mail if you have yahoo email. icon is on home mail page. then you just open the file the pic is in, drag it over to your message page, drop it there. best thing is when the receiver gets the mail they dont even need to open attachment... pic is part of whatever else you typed, etc you can also drag and drop music files and it works with yahoo messenger too.

After you compose your email message then click on "attach files" (on yahoo) or a "paper clip" icon (usually on Outlook) and it will bring up all files available on your PC. Youwill find "my documents" and click on the pic. It will prompt you from there and attach. You will get confirmation by seeing under the subject line of your email, a file has been attached.

OR
if you click on a pic, from the menu on the left under File and Folder Tasks click on Email this file and follow the prompts. Windows will offer to resize your pic if you want to speed up your email.
