This started about 10 years ago when some holy rollers got on a kick about cartoons, specifically, an old cartoon of Mighty Mouse inhaling a white substance and that the substance was cocaine and that cartoons were encouraging kids to use drugs.
After that they starting scanning Disney films frame by frame for subliminal messages and found the above that they are touted as further evidence that the Devil is at work in children's programming.
Now from what I have heard from insiders in the industry (I majored in Television and Motion Pictures in college) is that ok, you have to consider the process of a cartoon and you may draw between 16-24 stills for each SECOND of cartoon in stop-motion-animation, which can be very tedious and boring at times, and sometimes, as an inside joke for the heck of it, they might draw something to amuse themselves and their friends that they NEVER intended for anyone to catch, let alone, turn into an anti-cartoon controversy.
Nowadays, animators don't do that for the reason of being accused of being shady and are forthright with their sense of humor...take for instance, "Wallace and Grommit, Curse of the Wererabbit" where Wallace is wearing a barrel after the contraption sucked off his clothes and midway down said "May contain nuts".

Your absolutely correct, infact i remember Di$ney had to pull the movie "the little mermaid" because there was a image of a penis on the front cover of the movie case.
This created a big stur of upset mother's who could'nt believe their eyes, you would not believe the stuff they cleverly sneek into the movies and soundtracks.
Disney has money up the ying-yang & can do what they want, but one way or another, they will pay for junk they have been tring to corrupt kids & parents with.
