I'm looking around for a phone and can't decide what kind of phone to get, so can anybody offer some advice? And could you please recommend some phone models that I could check out? Thanks

i think that flip phone are better it you want to pretect you screen and buttons, but the problem is that most flip phones wont let you change the covers. flip phones are better if your like me and you forget to lock you candy bar phone and bottons start being dialed in your pocket.
candy bar phones are okay but you cant changer change the covers on most of them and the screen can get scrached but i dunno why not see what good deals come up for good looking phones

I always go for the candy bar types of phones. I do think the clam shell ones are more fragile as compared to the candy bar types. Besides, it is easier to answer phone calls from candy bar types of phones, I need not flip them open just to answer them. :)

at first i liked flip phones... but after having a candy bar style phone... i'm in love with one. i don't like sliders nor swivel ones neither. i would go for candy bar style because like the above poster said... it's a lot easier to answer your calls. no need to flip the phone to answer. for candy bar style phones... i would recommend Sony Ericsson. check them out... especially the latest phones... they're sooo tech!

i will go for candy bar phones anytime, love nokia model cos it's very user friendly, sticking to my old Nokia 3230, a very sturdy phone.

3230 is abit lag la..
7610... Ok lor.. N' its VERY GOOD @ expenable memory..
SE K700i.. No memory card ma..
So feel lyk.. de memory very small lor,.. 41MB ma..
So i recommand Sony Ericsson K750i, W800i, W810i, Nokia 7610, Nokia 3230..
Den nw I usin Samsung D510..
Slide phone la.. ok ok lor..
but mux slide slowly 2 prevent spoil la..
And i oso recommand Samsung X700..
Or.. Nokia 6131 lor..
