I don't think Nintendo DS is very good, especially for its price. If you want a hand-held device, then just go for a Gameboy Advanced, which is cheaper and delivers basically the same quality. Even better is a PC, which not only plays games but also does more important things. If you just want to play Mario Cart, you can use an emulator to play it on the PC.

hey hey hey! Well Around Christmas Time i had the same problem as you( well near enough) i didn't know wether to go for a psp or NDS...... At the time psp's were 180 pounds, and i could get a NDS For 70.....i went for the DS....now the Graphics arn't great but you can have loads of fun with the touch screen...The Ds is Basically a really cool and funner version of the gameboy....so if you like the consept of the gameboy get the nintendo DS LITE get the LITE they look amazing there about 100 pounds but look the buissness trust me also the psp's i thought were quite slow for loading! hope this helps!!

Yep, go for it. If there's Nintendo DS Light available, that's even better.
