i don't quite understand the difference between prosperity and adversity. could anyone explain?

prosperity is good, adversity is bad. you have heard about fair weather friends? that is when things are going ok, they will be your friend. when things are adverse (imagine you got drunk and threw up on a friends shirt) that friendship must be good for him to accept you as you are.

adversity usullay means that the world is trying to kick the everlovin' bejesus out of you and prosperity usually means that things are generally going your way. As for friendship in adversity, it is a rare thing to see and happen. When it does be thankful and don't forget it 'cause that is a true friend.

Some friends are 'fair weather' friends - they only come around when things are going well with you ( as in times of prosperity). However, when things get rough ( as in time of adversity) these friends will not stand with you. Their friendship is false.

Prosperity is when things, especially finances, are well. Adversity is when there is much trouble. It's during adversity that we find out who our real friends are.

Ever heard of the quote " a Friend in need is a friend indeed"???...there are many people who are willing to stand behind you and offer you strength when u are wealthy and prosperous...mainly because it doesn't require much strength love and patience...but a true frd is one who would stand behind u and offer u support no matter what ur condition is...he would be ur pillar of strength even when u are wealthy and proserous and happy just the same as when u are depressed...and in trouble..
that is the essence of true frdship and that person who would never desert u for anything is a true friend.

It means that a true friend will stick by you when times are rough, when you have prosperity then you rarely have to worry about leaving

a true friend will always be there to lend a hand during rough times...willing to lend shoulder when you weap....adversity to make it simple, is when things are not going well and prosperity is when everything is going right...

It means that you can know who your true friends are when they remain at your side during troubled times, not just stay with you during the greater times of your life.
