Of course! I've been living without one for over a year now. Don't miss it a bit. There are plenty of better things to do than sit around glued to the tube (or lcd, plasma, dlp, whatever)

Television has become an even vaster wasteland of nothingness. Generally I do not watch any TV programs, just news, occasional weather and that it's. During the wintertime I do watch a little more TV, but I definitely could live without it. When I was raising my kids, I wouldn't put the TV on at all during the day, in fact, that is one of my pet peeves, is TV on during the day. I played the radio. It gave my kids a great appreciation of music (all genres) and made them good listeners.

Yes, I could live without television. There are many times I scan through the channels to see what is being offered, and there isn't any thing worth watching. Most of the offerings are just stupid drivel. They need to fill the hours with something and it doesn't seem to matter what it is,so it is usually reruns or subjects that no one cares about.

Yes...and my life would be a lot more productive. (My main problem though is spending too much time on this silly YA thing.)
Actually, I watch TV very little anymore (computers again.) I have only broadcast TV. Yesterday...out of boredom, I turned on the TV only to find 3 golf tournaments on 3 channels. baseball games on 2 more...and a soccer game on another (Spanish) station.
I'm pretty far from being a sports enthusiast...so I imagine that the thing will stay off indefinitely.
.Ooops..I lie...my kid asked me to watch "The Office" with him one day last week...I did...I thought it was pretty good. Maybe I'll watch it again if I can find it.

It would be extremly difficult. I don't watch a whole lot, but I always have cartoons on in the background for the kids while they play, or music while I clean. I couldn't live without my computer.

For six months up to the world cup. Easy. My daughter learned to ride her bike in the time she might have been watching cartoons.
