What things can I use to customise my earth kind of coloured sholder bag. It used to be my school bag but I want to customise it in a way so it doesn't remind me of school!!! lol. I'm taking it on hliday to Dominican Rebuplic so maybe something summery or exotic. I only have a coulple of hours at home to do this so I can't go to the shops to by anything and I have already looked around thte house for badges so I can't use any of those (unless I make them!) Thanks for your help!

wow ok. . Try finding anything in the house that reminds you of Good time like photos of your friends. Sand from a vacation, shells from a vacation, anyhing really. Since you can't go out and buy anything check if you have paint. If your not too artisic paint something that you feel cofortable painting. Also you can use pens or even markers do draw a summer scene like palm trees or a beach or something like that. YOu could also write things like summer , be exotic, summer love something that would remine you of summer. If you have any jewels you can use them too. when glueing these things on or anything else you want to put on it use superglue or a hot glue gun,,they work the best. I used to design my own bags too... good luck

Hey, I tie a colorful scarf around the handle of my bags! That way I have the scarf if I need it and it's an accessory too! You can wrap necklaces or pin on some post earrings...ANYTHING...just have something that's fun! Maybe wait till you get to your vacation spot and find things to put on your bag!

First, get some fabric glue. Glue on ribbon, scrap pieces of cloth, or if you can find any at your house, plastic flowers. leis also work, too. if you really want to sew, maybe you could also rip off the shoulder strap and sew ribbons back to back to make a sturdy strap, then sew the ribbons onto your bag. Use permanent markers as your super last resort. You can also spray your bag with tropical scents to get rid of a books and pencils smell.

try and find some pretty coloured ribbons and make them into bows to pin onto the bag, like really bright exotic colours like fuscia and orange, or if you have any you can sacrifice, flower hair ties make a great accessory, just cut of the elastic part and stitch it on! have fun in the D. there are soooo many things you can do. I make clothes and stuff all the time. One of the easiest things to do would be painting it or drawing on it wit black permanent marker. Jusst think of things liek hobbies and stuff that you like ! You could try lining the edges of your bad with glue and placing sparkles or beads along the line of glue. You could get a darning needle and some yarn and sew designs into it. you could get an aticle of clothing you don't wear anymore, cut it up and sew/hot glue pieces of it to the bag. have fun!

find old photos of you and your friends and stick them on you bag. if you've got a scanner, scanning the photos into a computer then printing them off would be better coz then you still have the photos and paper is easier to stick to fabric than the card photos are on.

I used a pair of my Nana's old rhinestone earrings once and they were great! Just clip 'em on!
