A normal period is the flushing of the lining of the uterus and any egg that is there, fertilized or not. So if you always have your period lets say every 4 weeks and the same amount of bleeding, etc, you would not be pregnant.

If you bleed and it is strange, very light, pink, short, etc. you might not be experiencing a period but something else like implantation bleeding or signs of infection. On the other hand, if you get a very painful session of bleeding, large blood clots (bigger than a quarter) and use more than one pad or tampon an hour, you could be experiencing miscarriage and need medical attention.

If you ever doubt what is going on with your body, trust yourself...your instinct is usually right, you do know your body better than anyone.

NO, With my daughter I had my 1st period. Had no clue I was pregnant (doctor said I couldn't) and about a month later, I was vomiting all the time. Took a test & found out I was 2 months along at the doctor's office.

when i first got pregnant (both times) a few days before my period was due I started spotting. but it only lasted a day or so then went away. I was really disappointed when i started spotting but when it stopped it got me thinking and i went to get a test....
The doctors say that the spotting happens when the egg implants itself into the uterian lining...

give it a day or so, you may be pregnant afterall.....
good luck :)

Usually that is the case, but there have been cases where women have still seem to have their period and don't know they are pregnant.
I suggest safe sex or abstinence, unless you are trying to conceive
