Ok, here's the real truth...
getting rid of them isn't easy. In fact, experts aren't even sure it's completely possible. The first thing to know is that no over-the-counter cream or lotion can remove those lines. Stretch marks occur in the middle layer of the skin, called the dermis, and common creams can't reach that far deep. Vitamin E and cocoa butter treatments can make your skin feel soft and supple, but they won't make your skin mark-free. You'll need to talk to a doctor, dermatologist, or plastic surgeon if you want to seriously reduce the lines.
Prescription creams containing Tretinoin, also called Retin-A, may help reduce the appearance of fresh stretch marks. These creams should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. This type of treatment will not eliminate stretch marks completely, and it won't work on older marks that have already faded from red.
Laser surgery is sometimes used to lessen the severity of stretch marks, but the results are mixed. Microdermabrasion has been somewhat more successful in changing the appearance of stretch marks. Both treatments are expensive and should only be performed by qualified doctors.
After reading the research, we've decided that learning to love, or at least ignore, stretch marks is the best way to deal with them.
As you get a little older, you'll realize that it's you & your body together for a long time to come and you will become less self conscious as time passes by because you'll aslo realize that everyone else is dealing with the same issue. I promise you that!
Hope this helps a little!

If your stretch marks are very mature and in white stage there is no way to get rid of them completely. The only way to permanently physically remove them is through surgical procedures. There are new advances in laser surgeries and can be very expensive. The degree of success with any treatment will be impacted by your age, your skin tone and even your age.The best thing you can do now is how to prevent them. Drink plenty of water and be sure to consume foods that promote skin healthy such as zinc rich foods / vitamin A,C, D and protein rich foods.
Hope this might help to prevent stretchmarks.

r the stretch marks because u were pregnant or because u were heavy and lost weight?
if pregnancy you should have used an anti stretch mark cream during pregnancy, although they don't completely prevent them they do minimize them,if its because u were heavy then it will be more difficult,u could use collagen but whatever these creams say they never really ever go away completely,if u want to wear a bikini or something u could try covering them with a body bronzer or foundation.don't go spending lots of money on these wonder creams believe me its crap

First of all, I have to tell you that stretchmarks are not hereditary. It's not like we carry a gene for them. They are called stretchmarks because that's exactly what they are. Some women are blessed with very elastic skin (my mom was one of them, had 4 kids, 0 stretchmarks.) But the majority of women do get them because our skin is not as elastic, so it stretches.
You can't get rid of them, once you have them you're stuck with them. However, you can reduce the appearance of them. You could talk to a skin care specialist and get some scar reducing stuff. You can get some scar reducing products in your local drugstore. It'll work because stretchmarks are scars.
Another thing you can do is use lots of lotion. Normal, moisturizing lotion could help you in the future from getting more stretchmarks. Lotions that contain cocoa butter are very good for both moisturizing and reducing the appearance of stretchmarks. My mom used cocoa butter ever since she was little, she swears by it. She told me to start using it very early in my pregnancy, as soon as I found out in fact. But I didn't listen to her and started using it after I got the first few stretchmarks. I didn't get very more after that though.
Good luck in your success of 'hiding' the stretchmarks. And remember that they are normal.

Also try Vitamin E and Cocoa Butter, to minimize them.
There are also some little patches that you can use to smooth scar tissue out, and stuff called mederma, thats supposed to get rid of scars, or minimize them.
Good Luck sweetie. I have them too, so youre not alone.
Wish me a Happy Birthday!!!!! Im 29!

You can't. It's a condition that your body grew faster than your skin could keep up. Stretch marks are also hereditary.
