I would suggest you make some attempt to find out what is causing this so-called, "slipped disc" to continue to recur. To have such a condition evident, there must be an abnormal curve of the spine. That is the area in need of examination. To determine why this discrepancy is there. Then determine what is needed to correct this discrepancy.

This is what chiropractors do... make those determinations and then treat the cause. Not the symptom.

Odds are "no", but there are things you can do to make it better. Chiropractics is a good bet. Another thing you could try on your own is gravity boots. Hanging upside down reverses gravity which sometimes helps the disc ease back to where it belongs. No guarantees mind you, some people have seen benefit from them.

Ten years seems a long time to suffer...assume you have had x-rays and that's why your GP says "no"....Again assume you have had a variety of pain killers as well. May I make suggestions?: (A) Visit a Registered Chicroprator (B) Registered Accupuncturist (Trained in the Chinese approach) (C) with any of these or any other method you may or may not choose: Visit a Spiritual Healer. Its gentle, its natural and it works.

Yes.

I recommend visiting your local Chiropractor.

They can xray you before you start treatments and then measure progress from later xrays.

I've seen treatment work, so don't give up.
