When I turn on my PC speakers there is a lot of background hiss which gets a bit worse when I use the the mouse. This is the same when I use my headphones and it hurts my ears! What do you think is wrong? Is it to do with my soundcard? Any advice please?

Ignoring each and each and every of the others, it truly is plausible that your darling little kitten had a claw prolonged and stuck the manifold behind the keys. likely propose a sparkling keyboard (suggestions you, they're quite less expensive in recent times). then again, turn the keyboard the incorrect way up, eliminate the decrease back (carefully so as no longer to lose any keys) and sparkling it out with an air brush or a can of air. Use some thing comfortable like a watercolour brush to sparkling around the small products. If this does no longer artwork then, i'm afraid it's going to be a sparkling keyboard and kitty can ought to stay off it.

If you have on board sound that is most likely the problem try upgrading to a soundcard if you have any PCI slots vacant on your mother board.

Also try updating the software you have using microsoft update. Might help!!

Try disabling the microphone?

If that works, then turn it back on but at the lowest 'volume' and increase it up to the point at which the problem returns.

turn down the line in volume and microphone volume, or even better, just mute them both.
