First of all, you should not share the port that you want to open publicly, as mean bad people can use that information to attack your computer. You did not mention which operating system that you are running. If you are on a PC, you will have to make sure that itunes has been enabled as an exception with any firewall programs that you are running on your PC. You should just be able to tell your firewall to allow the particular port that you are interested in using for itunes. You can change the port number that you are using in setting to any number that you like between the number 2 and like 60,000. In other words, there are a lot of ports to pick from on your PC. Some ports are already in use by other programs/applications. So, make sure itunes is OK with your firewall program/including Windows XP SP2 build in/excellent firewall. If you are on a computer network going thru a router, you may have to configure your router to forward messages from the world wide web on that specific port to the intranet ip address of the pc that you are using . (such as 192.168.10.3)

To wrap up/summarize:
1. enable itunes in any firewall software that you are running. You should be able to do it by selecting the program. You may have to unblock the port in your PC firewall software, but not in most cases where you can simply allow the program/ie itunes.

2. set up your router's port forwarding if you are on a network with a router.

Are you behind a router? If so, the short answer is that there should be a setup area for "port fowarding" in your router configuration utility, in which you will need to enter 5214 as the forwarded port for your IP range. A little more information on your environment might help someone give a clearer answer.
