Has anyone read Sheer Abandon by Penny Vincenzi? Is the NHS really in such a shocking state in Britain as she depicts it?

Have not read the book, but the NHS is probably worse than she depicts. Takes you months to get a routine appointment through for ultrasound.

No, I haven't. Is it any good? Yes, the NHS is pretty shocking though. You tend to leave with more illnesses then you went in with.
