Another car in front of me was pulled over also by a single motorcycle cop sitting roadside under a freeway overpass. Morning traffic, no cars in front or around us. Happened in California.

Different states have different laws on the books relating to your situation . Calif happens to be one of the more stricter states that I know of ! You most likely can go to the prosecutor and strike a deal and pay a higher fine with no points , this doesn't happen all the time , if the cop shows up in court his answer will be your down fall , it is always smart if you are caught doing more than 15-20 miles over the limit to hire one of those traffic lawyers to do your talking for you ! It may cost a little more but they now just what to say and present to the court to get the job. you may wind up with driving school a small fine but no points ! Ask the lawyer before he goes for you what you can expect from him and try to get it in writing .

Pay the fine and get on with your life, you cant fight city hall and the courts allways take the word of the Officer over any excuse by a Citizen. Maybe its that ticket that you didnt get when you actually where doing 95+ that one day and nobody saw you. Either way, just pay and move onward, better than sittin in jail.

Show up early and talk with the city/county atty. You can have the infraction reduced to a lesser violation if you agree to just pay the new fine instead of trying to fight it. Quite often, you can have it changed to a non-point violation with a higher fine but you will end up saving money in the long run by not losing any points off of your license and sparing yourself the hike in insurance premiums.

I called the DMV on the state capitol. the female I talked to stated she purely had a request from a municipality to droop yet no extra information. She re-instated my license over the phone. It not in any respect appeared on my utilising record and no warrants were issued....wheW! were given fortunate....doesn't attempt it back although....

If he got you on radar there is nothing you can do.If you go to court and show remorse and apologize and give a logical explanation then the judge will go easier on you,as always if you try to discredit the cop and show no remorse he will throw the book at you.

Tell the judge some creep was tailgaiting you and you were trying to get away. Just turned out to be the cop. Emphasis creep in court and youll get off.

he probably got you with a radar gun, ask for the calibration of the gun, and when it was last tested they normally don;t keep up with maintenance of the gun and if it is expired they will drop the ticket, if you could not see the cop when you passed him it is called entrapment,

if he has hard evidence like a radar hard copy or video, no chance, if he chased you its his word against yours but the court leans towards his. your best bet is to hope he dosen't show up in court so the judge throws it out.
