Scary isn't it that people will be so easily led by lies and fear. Bias media and indeed government are aware of the phenomenon of telling a lie over and over for a while repeatedly then retract it once and people will still believe the lie. Like the one that Saddam Hussein had something to do with 9/11 for example. Some people in the U.S. still believe that he did to this day. It's the rumour mill effect, if 2 of 10 people you work with watch news and discuss it with you, you will likely tell another 10 people what you 'heard' from them and it just goes on and on. The lie spreads more rampantly because it was repeated over and over, whereas the retraction was only stated once briefly it doesn't get the same amount of attention. It's also amazing how stubborn people can be that they're right about an issue because it's something they 'heard' without any research or first hand knowledge at all.

Because it takes too much time and energy - not to mention an open mind - to educate one's self on the important issues of the day. You might want to give it a try yourself.

Seems you have bought into much of the "political lies" yourself. Instead of just regurgitating the arguments of the left because they feel good to your worldview, you might want to try considering the arguments of the right with an open mind, then weighing the validity of both sides in a fair and honest manner.

But like I said earlier, that takes a lot of time, energy and fairness.
