Any webdesigner worth his or her weight should be able to find a solution to this problem.
My webdesigner told me that would be a more expensive route to take, so we both decided to stay with Paypal for the time being.

Google's new Checkout may work for you. Since their process (unlike PayPal) requires you to verify your shipping or order fulfillment, your software package is trackable.
Your alternative is to acquire your own merchant account or use a marketing service (like ourselves) to handle sales and order fulfillment for you.
